hello, i am looking for a way to afford dentures for my husband. he is 47, disabled because of a condition called multi infarct dementia also with parkinsons symptoms. he has dental insurance but it doesn't pay much towards dentures or the surgery needed to remove whats left of his teeth. he has no whole teeth left, just broken off pieces. his teeth became brittle because he was on 13 medications at once until the doctors finally figured out what was wrong with him. he also has medicare but of course they pay nothing. i lost my job when he was in the hospital with double pnuemonia and a collapsed lung. my job replaced me after telling me to take two weeks to get him back on his feet. now he requires constant care. the local dental school wants $3000 to remove what is left of his teeth and this does not include dentures only the removal. we could pay some out of pocket but not $3000. we live on less than $2000 a month. he has to be monitered during tooth removal because he also has a pacemaker due to heart problems along with the strokes.
